From your initial consultation, throughout the acupuncture treatment and after care, I provide professional support and advice
During your first visit I will use Chinese diagnosis techniques to gain a thorough understanding of your main complaint and general health.
This involves asking questions about your current symptoms, medical history, sleeping pattern, appetite, digestion, and your emotional wellbeing. You might feel that some questions appear unrelated to your condition but it all helps to form a complete picture of your health and lifestyle.
I will take your pulse on both wrists, examine your tongue and feel for areas of muscular tension or pain.
A treatment plan will be made based on the overall diagnosis. I will use very fine single-used needles to stimulate acupuncture points on your body. Because energy meridians range across the whole body, the points used are not necessarily close to where you experience pain or discomfort. For example, if you suffer from headaches needles might be inserted in your feet or hands.
Most people feel very relaxed and calm after the treatment. You may feel a little tired so you should ideally give yourself time to rest. It is also advisable not to drink alcohol after treatment.
“After seeing Grace a couple of times for a lasting back pain, I can honestly say I’ve never felt better. I was a bit unsure at first of how it would go, but I’m glad I went! A nice honest genuine person with a real passion for what she does.”
